Mark 4:35–41 (ESV)
35 On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side.”
36 And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him.
37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling.
38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?”
39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?”
41 And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

1st Physical Storm ( V 37 )
Mark 4:37 (ESV) 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling.
Note: Even though this was a physical storm it was still the will of God ( V 40 )
Mark 4:40 (ESV) 40 He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?”
Note: Just because the Seen the Setting and the Scenery of your life is not favorable does not mean it’s not God‘s will.
Note: Some storms can get so physical and break some things up
[ break relationships - Break Physical Body - break Churches - break careers ]
4:35 The disciples were obeying Jesus’ command
“ Let us cross over”
when the storm came
Obedience does not save us
from the storms of life
but when we obey
Jesus is with us
to see us through the storm
Sometimes He delivers us from difficulties.
Sometimes He gives us grace to pass through them.

2nd Spiritual Storm ( V 38 )
Mark 4:38 (ESV) 38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?”
Note: Spiritual storms is the worst type of storm
Example: Category 4 hurricane you can loose everything physically but don’t loose your mind but in a spiritual storm you can loose your mind and it’s like you’ve lose everything
Example: Psalm 13:1-6
Psalm 13:1–6 (KJV 1900)
1 How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
3 Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; And those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
6 I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
Note: A spiritual storm affects you all kind of ways [ Affect your — Memory - Decisions - Attitude - Mobility - Judgement - Your get-up & go - Weight - Hair lose - etc .... ]
Note: The disciples thought that Jesus didn’t care and that’s how we feel when we are going thru .
Mark 4:38 (CSB)
38 He was in the stern, sleeping on the cushion. So they woke him up and said to him, “Teacher! Don’t you care that we’re going to die?”
Note: The REAL PROBLEM is that Jesus is not doing NOTHING
Note: And this is why things can get so spiritually bad for us is because we know Jesus can do something about our storm and it seems like He is SLEEPING.
